Prior to founding B&S, Angky worked as an attorney at several international law firms in Jakarta, where he focused on corporate legal matters, real estate dispute resolution, and transactional issues. He has advised a diverse range of clients, including high-net-worth individuals, private companies, and state-owned enterprises across various sectors such as real estate, agribusiness, and manufacturing.
Angky has also served as Head of Legal at a property technology firm, where he built and led a comprehensive legal department from the ground up for this innovative property technology startup, advising the founders on strategies for business operations and expansion initiatives.
Angky holds a Bachelor of Laws (S.H.) from Universitas Indonesia. During his time in UI, he represented Indonesia in prominent international competitions, including the Jessup Moot Court in Washington, D.C. His dedication to legal education remains evident in his volunteer coaching for the univesity’s moot court teams, where he successfully led teams to achieve top rankings globally.
Angky is a Licensed Attorney with the Indonesian Advocate Association (PERADI).
- Counsel for an international hotel chain in a land and building dispute in the District Court, High Court, and Supreme Court.
- Counsel for a construction company in public information litigation before the Central Information Commission (KIP), State Administrative Court, and Supreme Court.
- Counsel to a state-owned enterprise representing high ranked officers under investigation by the Attorney General’s Office of the Republic of Indonesia for alleged corruption.
- Assisted Indonesia’s sovereign wealth fund and a global property investment company in an IDR 100 billion land acquisition within an industrial area.
- Advised a Japanese property investment firm on disputes related to share divestment from a real estate project in South Tangerang, Indonesia.
- Assisted a global trade and logistics company in the enforcement of a foreign arbitral award in Indonesia.
- Advised a Singapore banking group on regulatory approvals in Indonesia due to internal restructuring and change of control.
- Advised a high-net-worth individual on acquiring a hotel for USD 10 million in Central Java.
- Assisted multinational corporations in establishing operations in Indonesia, particularly in the real estate and import & distribution sectors.
- Assisted a SOE-backed digital startup bank in developing a standardized loan agreement template for retail use.
